About Me

Mirza Sarhan is a multilingual actor-creator based between Toronto and Sharjah and a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada, where he completed the Acting program on full scholarship. A self-described Third Culture Kid—born in India, raised in Saudi Arabia, and shaped by time in Croatia—his work challenges Islamophobia and xenophobia while building collaborative community spaces. He made his professional debut in Trident Moon, a co-production of the National Arts Centre and Crow's Theatre, earning a Dora Award nomination at the Dora Mavor Moore Awards. He is currently developing new work across theatre and film, including his short documentary Majlis and narrative short Mohsin, with support from leading Canadian arts institutions.
